Just purchased the PHP Upload 3 - very excited to get using it. However, after installing (Mac 10.8.3) Under the extension manager for Dreamweaver CS6 I see the note

"NOTE: This extension requires that you have ADO 2.5 installed on your server."

Is this standard for linux hosting? Is this a new requirement> I didn't see it mentioned on any documentation before I purchased the extension, now a bit worried that it won't work if this is a new requirement and "ADO 2.5" can only run on windows servers - which would seem a bit odd for a PHP/MySQL extension...

Of course no ADO is required with PHP.

So just ignore it.

Yes indeed. The new Pure PHP Upload 3 is compatible with Smart Image Processor 2 so it should work just fine.

We will be improving the image processor as well for even greater compatibility and better PHP 5 support, so expect an update very soon
