Conclusion
If you want to learn more about SEO, no one is stopping you...SEO can be a mystery, if you allow it to mystify. Or, you can read up on the following articles to learn more about how you can use SEO to your advantage.
- Google SEO Basics for Beginners: Ok, so you think that Google owns the world, and you won't touch it even if you were tortured. You'll lose out in the short run, if not the long run, if you ignore Google, however. Give these instructions a shot, as they can apply to any good SEO format for any search engine.
- SEO Basics: According to Aaron Wall, "Search engine optimization (SEO) is the art and science of publishing and marketing information that ranks well for valuable keywords in search engines like Google, Yahoo! Search, and Microsoft Live Search." Give him a shot if that quote sounds reasonable to you.
- The Ultimate List of Basic SEO Resources for a Kick-Ass Start: Ann Smarty is the Director of Media at Search & Social where she serves as the Editor of Search Engine Journal. This is her list to help you get started.
Remember that WP is designed to be SEO-friendly. If you take a look at this article on SEO, which focuses on proper code, you'll see what I mean. Once you develop a draft, look at the code source to see if WP doesn't do all this work for you on the front end. It does. So, no need to worry about coding issues with WP (at least for the most part).
Finally, you may want to invest in Key Words or Keyword phrase searches to see what might work for you. If you want to spend your money on this option, that's your choice. I have learned, through working with SEO fanatics, that the best way to develop key words and keyword phrases is to look at what I want to write, build those keywords and phrases into my headings, subheads and lists, and then use them again as tags.
You don't have a crystal ball, so you cannot predict what people will search for on a day-to-day basis. Some days are a flop and other days will make your blog post a winner. If you use the simple tips I've addressed within this article and in the previous two articles, you may find yourself in good shape.
In sum, I am constantly using press releases for various sites, and – using only the tips I've shared with you – my posts constantly come in higher than the original release in the days following that release date. In fact, I sometimes beat out major media that shares the same story, simply by using the tips offered to you in this article.
It's not rocket science, but it does take some time and effort...hopefully, these tips will pay off for you, too.
