Flickr Photo Album using Feed Ticker
Embed easy your photos from Flickr on your own site
In this article Patrick will show you how easy it is to get the feed from your photos from Flickr and automatically publish them on your own site as great looking, animated thumbnails list by using DMXzone's Feed Ticker Dreamweaver Extension.
6.Using Behaviors
The Property Inspector holds a Behaviors link. By clicking the blue paperclip the DMXzone Behavior Connector will be started. With this Behavior Connector you will be able to add other behaviors to you Feed Ticker.
Events that are available to chose from are When all the feeds are loaded, Before the current slide appears and After the current slide appears. The Available Behaviors to choose from are on the left side of the window. First select an event in the Available Events section. Then select a behavior from the Available Behaviors section and click the blue arrow in the middle. Now fill the necessary settings for the choosen behavior and confirm them.
Clicking OK will close the Behavior Connector. Now save the page, upload it and view it on your live server.
Using the Behavior Connector is not necessary. Without any behaviors added, the Flickr Photo Album will show on your page. By clicking on an image, the photo will show on the Flickr website.
Patrick Julicher
Patrick started developing websites at the age of 25, only using HTML and building simple websites. Through the years his passion for designing and developing grew, and his career moved in that direction in the year 2004, when he decided to try and get a job in ICT and Web Development.
He got this chance at WE ICT, based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. For the first couple of years he combined network management for customers with creating database-driven websites in ASP. Since 2008 his main work is on the developing part.
While ASP is still his favorite language, he's slowly trying to dive into ASP.NET and discover all of the possibilities.
