In this paragraph we give a short overview of the features of the Dynamic Flash Gallery extension;
- Username: Set the username that is required to login in the online gallery to manage your photos
- Password: Enter the password that is required to login in the online gallery to manage your photos
- Server Language: specify the server language that is to be used.
- File Upload Folder: select the folder where you want your files to be uploaded.
- Image Width: Select the maximum width of your images.
- Image Heigth: Select the maximum height of your images.
- Thumbnail Width: Select the maximum width of your thumbnails.
- Thumbnail Heigth: Select the maximum height of your thumbnails.
FAQ
Q: My viewer gives an error that is unable to load the XML file
A: Make sure that you test the gallery on your server as a local gallery will not work.
Q: After refreshing, my album doesn't display my changes.
A: Make sure you've uploaded your gallery XML file and the files from your Scriptlibrary Folder to your server and that you've deleted your browser cache.

Q: My photo album says it is missing a file
A: You need to upload the dmxFlashGallery2.swf, the XML file and the files in your Scriptlibrary files to the folder that you've specified for your photos to your server
Q: My album doesn't display my photos
A: Please make sure that the page of your Flash Album is saved in the site that is defined in Dreamweaver to prevent path problems. You can also change the path to your images in the XML file.

A: Copy the language file, for instance dmxFlashGallery2_editor_en.xml for English, to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\shared\DMXzone\Dynamic Flash Gallery PHP or ASP\localization
Q: How can I reduce upload time when uploading many images?
A: Resize your images before uploading them reduces the upload time. If your customers don't have software to resize their images to reduce the file upload size, they can use this free tool from Microsoft.
Go to the directory containing your photos. Right click on the photo you wish to resize and select 'Resize Pictures'. Select the new image size and click 'OK'.
Q: I get the following error message; not enough permissions. Folder can not be created. What should I do?
A: It is very important that you set the permissions of this folder on your server to read and write.

Q: I get the following error message; the file does not have a valid extension. What should I do?
A: The extension supports JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG. Additionally the ASP version also supports BMP files.
Q: I made a large selection of images in my online editor how can I deselect them
A: Hold ctrl+shift to deselect multiple images and click the left mouse button.
