Managing your online gallery
Got to the internet page where your gallery resides. Click on your gallery and press @ (shift+2). An Authentication screen appears;
Enter the Password and Username that you've specified in Dreamweaver. Now your gallery is in edit mode.
Edit a gallery title
Press the to change the title of the gallery. After pressing the icon, an edit gallery popup appears.
Lets change the text in the Title field from " Las Vegas" to " Fabulous Las Vegas" .
Press Ok, as you can see the gallery title is changed to "Fabulous Las Vegas" .
Adding an image
Let's add a new image to our gallery by pressing the icon.
Select the image(s) you want to add and press Open.
Tip: You can select multiple images by holding the control (or the apple key for Mac users) or the shift button while selecting images.
A new popup appears while you're uploading the images. The upper bar displays the progress of the current file and the lower bar is the total progress.
And another popup will show when your upload is successful.
Edit the description of your slide and add a link
Select the slide where you want to change your text, we've selected the Barbary Coast image. As you can see now, the text of the main image is Barbary Coast. Let's edit the description by pressing the icon.
A new popup appears. First we edit the text by changing the Title field, we change it to "The lights of Barbary Coast". We also decide to link the text to http://www.barbarycoastcasino.com/main.html by entering the Web link field. We set the target to _blank in the Link target field.
You can set the target to;
- _blank
- _self
- _top
- _parent
- a frame name
Press OK. A new popup appears while you changes are being processed.
As you can see the text is edited. When the user clicks the text the website of Barbary Coast will open in a blank window.
Changing the order of your images
To change the order of your images, hold the control button (the apple button for Mac users) and select the images you want to move. The images you select turn blue. Hold the control (or apple) button and select a blue images to deselect it (if necessary). Now move your mouse where you want to move the images (in the area between two thumbnails), a vertical bar appears at the area.
Click at the location at the bar to place the images. A loading screen appears while the images are moved.
As you can see the images are moved to the specified location.
Removing an image
Let's select an image that we want to remove. Click the icon. A new popup appears that asks if you are sure you want to remove the image. Press OK to remove the image.
