I see App connect will make Data Bindings obsolete. But App connect is only available for DW CC. Future obsolete extensions cannot be downloaded and saved for future use. So those that don't (refuse to) work with CC but are still on DW CS6 will not have access to future extensions from DMXZone? Replies

Hello Jacques,
App Connect requires CC+ indeed. CS6 is too old and it does not support the modern technologies used in App Connect and the newer tools we are releasing.
You can continue using HTML5 Data Bindings without issues, if you insist on using old Dreamweaver version as CS6.

Thanks for the heads up Theodor. I do not feel the need to migrate to CC as I intend to retire in 2 years and I find DW CC too expensive. But I may reconsider both.

Ditto over here. CS6 is the last version of Dreamweaver or any other Adobe products that I will use because of Adobe's new business model, cater only to business customers spending other people's money.
If DMXzone wants to sell a complete replacement for Dreamweaver, especially one that also would work on Linux, I am so in that I would gladly stand on my head if that would help make it happen.

Hi Jack,
Unfortunately we are not planning to support such an old DW version and the reasons are explained in my previous post.
The new CC subscription model is really better, as the updates, fixes etc. are coming really often ... and you do not have to wait like 18months for an update. Also, personally i prefer using the latest CC versions instead of CS versions.
