I have looked in the jQuery-ui.css file as stated in the manual and for the life of me cannot figure out how to take the background out on the Black Tie option The tabs I want to remain as they are though. Just don't want the black bar behind the tabs themselves that stretches the length of the Content box.

You can use your browser dev tools and inspect the element, which property you'd like to change. Then get the class name and add it in a new custom css file, included after all of the other css files on your page.
