Can I just have an automatic slider slideshow with CSS I mage gallery 2? - no navigation, no thumbs?

I have built a responsive website with DW fluid grid layout. I tried WowSlider but it does not work properly inside a fluid div. It resizes in the width fine but not in the height - the container doesn't resize in the height.

Will Nivo Slider 3 work properly inside a fluid div? I just want the most basic of transitions. No navigation buttons, just a series of photos that fade in and out.
