Good afternoon,
We would like to know if the Security Provider extension will support any form of encryption to allow our current encrypted fields to be decrypted at log in?

Example our user passwords are encrypted to AES 256 at registration and stored as such but there seems to be no way for Security Provider to interpret this data? Are there any plans to update this extension to enable the use of encrypted fields especially user passwords....?

Am I being silly and missing something?

Thanks in advance for advice!

Hello,
The current version of Security Provider does not support password encryption. This feature is added in the wishlist for the upcoming update.

I paid for a month subscription to attempt to build a new project with and am stopped at this topic and determining whether to move forward or go back to using a framework. Plain text passwords in a DB are not an option for any project! Are we making any progress on this feature?

It seems like it would be rather simple to add crypt() with a a random salt?

Good morning DMX Zone,
Was wondering if there is any news on the implementation of encryption in to the Security Provider Extension? I noticed the update today and held my breath while I read the Change Log.. I appreciate all the time and effort you ladies and gentleman put in to the updates and the Extensions themselves but the option to encrypt to various algorithms would definitely be a huge benefit to a lot of people. Understandably password integrity, security, and storage is essential to keeping data safe (although it can be compromised). The option to do this at least offers some piece of mind. Am looking forward to any updates on this subject.

Thank you all at DMX Zone!
