23 Sep 2013 10:12:53 Tom Dupre posted:
Are there are any options in the extension to create typical paging features, eg:632 results (displaying results 21 - 30) | First « 1 2 3 4 5 6 » Last
?
I know there are options for first/previous/next/last links.
Thanks.

Hi Tom,
As it is described on the product page you can create paging like:
Page (number) of (total)
Records (total), (limit) where limit is the number of the results per page
You can add controls for: First, Previous, Next, Last

Thanks Teodor,
I couldn't find this information on the product page (eg the word 'total' does not appear on the page). Nor I could see any examples in the manual, videos, or showcases. As I mentioned, I realise you can add controls for First, Previous...
Are there facilities to create somethink like this:
632 results (displaying results 21 - 30) | First Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 Next Last
(apart from the First, Previous, Next Last links)? Eg where the numbers indicate the current page and are links to the other pages? These are obviously standard features for paging/navigation and what I would usually include on a site. As I'm not very familiar with PDO or JSON data sources, I wondered if such functionality is included in the extension or if it would be much extra work to incorporate.
The comment from the product page sounds promising (although I don't know what 'specific for each database' means in this context):
>The built-in Pagination uses native paging techniques specific for each database so you don't need to do any SQL magic by yourself. It also has dynamic Ajax alike paging, dynamic page navigation links and ...<
...but the only examples seem to be of basic links as mentioned above.

This is the article describing the pagination options:

Numeric pagination is not available in the current version of the extension.

Thanks for clarifying this. Given you have a pagination feature built-in, it seems a pity it's missing such features.

I would also like this part added to the pagination:
