After the latest update an issue occurs when naming the data source. You will have to avoid -' when naming the data source. What happens if you use '-' is tha the datasource loads (you can see it loading in the firebug) but data is not displayed inside the component.

My datasource was named 'ds-get-msgs-for-user' and although data was being retrieved (could see data in firebug) it wasn't rendering on screen. Changed name to 'dsgetmsgsforuser' and it worked perfect.

The data source name cannot contain any dashes or spaces. The data source name should only contain alphanumeric characters OR " _ " - For example:
dataSource or data_source_1
And this has been like that since the first release of the extension.
