Everything was fine, until I installed the 1.0.2 update for bootstrap elements. Now, I can't insert any elements at all. I get this error when I try to insert any bootstrap element onto a page.



As I always do when I install extension updates, I start up DW to finish the installation, shut down DW, delete the winfilecache and the restart DW.

In my troubleshooting steps, I uninstalled bootstrap elements completely. Once I did that, I got this error when just starting up Dreamweaver CS6.



How could I still be getting errors for an extension I've completely uninstalled and deleted the winfilecache? Never had an extension update screw up DW so badly. I hope I am not going to have to spend the time to rebuild a new DW configuration folder, and reinstall all these extensions again... I hope you have a solution.

Can you please make sure you are using the latest bootstrap 1.2.1 also?

I updated that one too and reinstalled elements and that solved the problem. So happy I didn't have to redo the config folder!

I first bought Bootstrap 3 and then Elements 1.0.2.
It seams that they dont play together.
Do I have to buy Elements 3 or can I upgrade?

I've just updated to Bootstrap 3.1.0 & Elements 1.0.2 & I'm getting same error as above re: line 208 of dmxBootstrapElements_lib.js when I try to add any elements to a bootstrap page

Using DW CS6. Everything was fine before upgrade.

Uninstalled & reinstalled several times, (also cleared cache several times),but error persists.

Update to above...

After several more uninstalls, reinstalls and cache clearing exercise in the vain hope it would fix itself, I decided on the following actions.

1. Closed DW CS6
2. Removed Elements 1.0.2, (retained Bootstrap 3.1.0)
3. Installed Elements 1.0.1
4. Cleared WinFileCache
5. Restarted DW CS6
6. Registered Elements 1.0.1

After all this, everything working again. So, for me it's definitely Elements 1.0.2 that is causing the problem. Please investigate why I should be getting this error with Elements 1.0.2 and produce a fix that works for everyone.

Elements 1.0.2 Should be used with the Free Bootstrap extension: www.dmxzone.com/go/21759/dmxzone-bootstrap and it requires it to be installed in DW.
For Bootstrap 3 you need the Bootstrap 3 Elements.

Thanks for the reply. When I bought Bootstrap 3, (v 3.0.1), for £42.00, I was taken down a path to buy Elements for a further £59.00. Add on the sales tax and that totals £116.10.

I only ever thought that I needed these two items and didn't realise that I needed to match Bootstrap 3 and Element 3 together. I feel I've been misled, or at least allowed myself to be misled. It wasn't clear at all. I'm not the only one to have this problem. Oeyvind Braass, (see above), seems to have been misled on his purchase also. On purchasing Bootstrap 3, I would have hoped that your system would have flagged up the fact that I was buying an incompatible piece of software.

How do I go about claiming a refund for the Elements I've already paid for, which isn't compatible with Bootstrap 3, so that I can purchase the correct version of Elements? Or, give me a credit to cover the cost of purchasing Elements 3. Better still, can you just give me a download link to get the correct version, (and activation code of course).

In any way we DO NOT MENTION Bootstrap Elements on DMXzone Bootsrap 3 Page. Even more - when you go to Bootstrap Elements page there is a colorful notification saying:

If it's absolutely not right, then how did I, and Oeyvind manage to do it? I still maintain that I was guided incorrectly from my purchase of Bootstrap 3. In my eagerness to buy Elements, I obviously missed it.

The image doesn't show up for me in your last post, but I've visited the link and I have to say that a grey and white notification against a white background is hardly colourful, nor does it stand out as a warning. Perhaps if it had been red or some other garish colour, I would have taken closer notice of it.

If you go to www.dmxzone.com/go/22360/dmxzone-bootstrap-3 there is a link to Bootstrap Elements from the 'OTHERS ALSO BOUGHT' section, so there is a link from the Bootstrap 3 page!!

Anyhow, if you are willing to refund the cost of Elements 1 when I purchase Elements 3, I'll consider the matter sorted.

You are right, the section is called Others also bought. There are users that have the free bootstrap version that also bought the Elements extension. Still when you go to the Bootstrap Elements Product Page it says it ONLY supports the DMXzone Bootstrap.
The notification is contrast and clear enough and the fact you did not even bother to read the requirements is not our fault.
Our exchange procedure is as i already described:

I think saying I didn't bother to read it is harsh!! I didn't notice it because it didn't stand out enough.
