I had a look at the video tutorial, but cannot find the "Insert" menu options that are described.I am using DW CS 6 on Windows 7.
I have made some changes to the main.dwt template to make it more in line with my site and need to add a left hand column to a page derived from the template, so that I have a narrow left hand sidebar that will hold additional sub-navigational elements.
Thanks
Hans

Hello Hans,
Any changes that are made in the DWT file and are not inside an editable region are applied on the child pages on save.

Hi Teodor,
Thanks, I do get that, but I need to add a left navigation column to a specific page and not via the template. This will happen inside the editable region, but I have no idea how to do that and cannot find the tools to add this.
I did try and use the "Bootstrap" option, but that added a whole lot of additional code to the page and messed it up completely.
In the video tutorial, for the template, there is supposed to be a set of tools that allow you to add rows and columns, with varying widths, but I don't see it anywhere.
Thanks
Hans

You can Create this inside the child page using Bootstrap. Please make suer you are using Bootstrap 2 as the template is based on Bootstrap 2.

Yep, I just bought the whole package, so I do have all the right things, but it still baffles me as to where and how to find this menu option.

Can you please be a little more detailed - what do you mean by: " where and how to find this menu option"?

OK, in the video tutorial, 3:17 (into the clip) on the page www.dmxzone.com/go/21791/universal-responsive-bootstrap-template there is an option to change layout from an "Insert" menu that has "Bootstrap Scaffolding" as an option. On the demo page in the clip, the Properties shows "Containers" too, which I am unable to replicate.
When the demo shows the rest of the Bootstrap Scaffolding menu, there are various layout options. Where are these located in DW and what do I need to do to access them?
While the clip is quite informative, there is still a lot left to the user to figure out and this is what I am trying to do.
Thanks
Hans

As i explained in my previous post, the template is based on Bootstrap 2 www.dmxzone.com/go/21759/dmxzone-bootstrap and you need to have this installed in order to see the scaffolding menu.

Thanks, so the "package" I bought uses a different version of Bootstrap and I need to also then install the one you reference?
OK, I did download it and installed it, now I see the "Scaffolding" options. Odd that the Template package comes with Bootstrap 3 and one also need the earlier version to be able to work effectively with it.
Thanks Teodor.

It does not come with Bootstrap 3 actually..
In the Required Extensions section it clearly states and links to "Bootstrap 2"

Interesting, I never purchased BS 3, but it was installed when I bought and installed the package. I do see it in that BS 3 is an installed extension, so it must have come along with the package I downloaded.
Just looked at my invoice and this is what I got when I purchased the template package:

DMXzone Bootstrap 3 1 €49.00 €35.10
Saving €13.90 €35.10

Oh well, that could have happened, but I just added the items that were "required" and somehow ended up with version 3. No matter, it's all working now.
