Hi, I installed the DMXzone Less Compiler. Just wanting to get started with less in dreamweaver and this seems to be an excellent way to go ;-). The extention installed OK and when I save a less fil the css file is created OK. But I do not see any color coding in the less file. Or code hinting. Am I missing something?

I'm on windows 8 / CC.

That is what I indeed expect, but I only see black text, and no hinting.

Hi, I only used a extisting less file before. Now I deleted the less and css file I had and created an new file. But when I give a name like 'test.less' dreamweaver gives me an error: "Execution of onLoad in dmxLessCompiler_afterSave.htm jJavascript error" (translated form dutch...).

If I click OK, the file is there, but when I open it there is now color/code hinting. The CSS file is created OK.

Clearded the cache, but the error still appears on creating a new less file.

Does the error appear when you select: File > New > Blank Page > LESS > Save?

When I create a file through the File Menu in Dreamweaver I do not get the error message. (File--> New, choose 'CSS', hit 'Create'). The save the file as 'Less CSS file'. hit 'Compile This One'. No errors.

But still no color / hinting....

I do not see the 'Blank page' --> LESS. Only CSS and a bunch of others. The is one empty field... between 'XML' and 'ASP Javascript'.

LESS does not show up in my screen. I am now reinstalling Dreamweaver the extention. To see if that helps. I did make some changes to some DW files before I used the extention to get less files openend in dreamweaver. Maybe that caused the problem. I'll let you know what happens.

Hi, I'm back. I was not aware I was not using the latest DW version (CC). I was using CS6. I installed the new DW CC version and also the Extention manager CC. I ha dto run the extention manager as administrator to install the LESS plugin.

I all seems to be working fine now! Great! Looking forward to working with less. Thanks for your help!

So does the color coding only work with the newest version of Dreamweaver CC and not CS6?

this extension not working in DW CS6

Whenever opening a existing fine in dreamweaver cc format of coding changes to text after correcting it all code hints doesn't work.
