I am following the video on how to use this awesome product, but would suggest some more basic information is required, for example surely the first step would be to modify the templates (all three) for customising the footer content.

Changing the templates or pages created based on these will invoke the reminder dialog that certain files have been changed and will require uploading to the server - which is explanatory. I then added the images and saved the file but was asked to create a testing server - I did but just made it the local one. File was saved but I get an informational message that page may have dynamically-related files that can only be discovered by the server. - But if I say yes to discover message that follows it returns saying the site definition is not correct. The site page shows I have a local server defined as a testing server.
Can you help please.

Please make sure you are doing everything correctly following the article from Adobe:

Thanks for the link. Sorry Newbie question - If I have several d/w sites that will use php, and install MAMP then the reference to the server folder - htdocs\phptest is the same for all the sites testing servers? Or do I have to create a different folder for each d/w site?

Hello Christine.

You can do that but you will end up with big mess.

I can suggest you the following structure for each of your sites and create a separate site definition for each site:
For example if you have 3 projects of sites that will use php:

Local Site Folder:
Quote
D:\DW_workspace\yoursitephp1\
D:\DW_workspace\yoursitephp2\
D:\DW_workspace\yoursitephp3\

Server Folder:
Quote
D:\wamp\www\yoursitephp1\
D:\wamp\www\yoursitephp2\
D:\wamp\www\yoursitephp3\
