I have done the following:

* purchased the extension
* set up a site
* downloaded the extension
* installed the extension
* found the extension in the DMX Zone object bar
* clicked the extension icon

Nothing further happens. How do I get the extension to function in Dreamweaver 8?

Yes, I did. I am running DW8 on two machines, both running Windows 7. I installed the extension on the second machine and it works fine. Nice extension. Go figure. --- Dave

Lets try the following troubleshooting

Uninstall the extension from EM.
Restart DW.
Download fresh copy from the product page.
Install in EM & DW.
Restart DW.
Clear DW cache file.
Open DW and try to place the extension on your page.
