I'm having a problem getting videos to play in the lightbox on an iPad. Works fine on the web browsers on a laptop, but will not play on an iPad. I've tried the following video formats (that are compatible for iPad) but no,luck. I have tried .mp4, .mov but it simply will not play Just get a blank gray window.

I am working on the Mac OS 10.6.7, I have the latest lightbox installed and using Dreamweaver CS5.5
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

That is so because the player used in the Lightbox is Flash based and will not play on a mobile devices.
Using HTML 5 Video Player in conjunction whit Ligthbox my help you work around the situation.

Are there any tutorials on how I can use the html5 video player with lightbox? I also have the html5 video player extension as well. Please advise

Hello Lawrence,

Create an empty page, place on it the HTML5 Video Player with the video you like to show in Lightbox and then show this page in a lightbox.
NOTE:
There will be no auto sizing of the Lightbox so you need to set width and height of the Lightbox.
