Hi everyone,

I'm considering using thermal stickers for labeling products in my small business, but I'm not too familiar with how they work. I know they're often used for shipping labels and receipts, but I'm wondering if they're suitable for long-term use, especially on items exposed to heat or light.

Do thermal stickers fade over time, and are there any specific types that are more durable? Also, what's the best type of printer to use for printing these labels? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi there!

Thermal stickers can be a good choice for labeling, but there are a few things to consider. There are two types of thermal printing: direct thermal and thermal transfer. Direct thermal labels are cheaper but can fade over time, especially when exposed to heat, light, or friction, so they may not be ideal for long-term use. If you're looking for more durability or color thermal labels, thermal transfer is the better option since it uses a ribbon and is much more resilient. This makes them ideal for items that need to last or face harsher conditions.

For printers, look for a thermal transfer printer like Zebra or Dymo if you need longevity.
