Based on the Facemash software, Zuckerberg developed a masterpiece of communication in the form of the social network Facebook (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation, it belongs to the Meta company, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation), which expanded the communication of Harvard students on the local network. In a matter of days, the project went beyond the Harvard campus, joining the Ivy League universities of Boston, New York, Massachusetts and Canada. Stanford and Columbia University soon joined. The idea of ​​the social network was that users publish photographs and information on their pages – from scientific interests to gastronomic preferences, which allowed interest groups to appear on the network in the shortest possible time, growing every day. Very quickly, the creator of Facebook realized that a considerable investment was needed to develop the project. Therefore, following Bill Gates’ example, he dropped out of Harvard and invested all the money his parents had saved for his studies ($85,000) into his idea. According to Zuckerberg, he received significant help in turning Facebook from a university project into a real company from the creator of the Napster music service, Sean Parker, and Apple CEO Steve Jobs. In the summer of 2004, the programmer moved to Palo Alto and registered his project as a legal entity, becoming CEO of Facebook. The company’s co-founders included Harvard students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskowitz, Andrew McCollum, and Chris Hughes.
