So, I've built a file upload tool, and it works great for me. Small files, large files, no problems. However, my customer can't. We've both been testing with the same 6 MB file and it works perfect for me every time, but for my customer, the progress bar just sits there and the time to complete just keeps growing longer and longer. The upload never seems to actually start.

I had the customer try doing a single image file - 127 KB and it worked instantly. Why would they be able to upload a small image but not a larger file?

The server settings were configured for PAU3 a long time ago, and if was a server setting, wouldn't I have the same experience my customer does?

What could cause such a difference between me and my customer's experience with the upload tool?

Hello Steve,

Are you and your customer using the same browsers? Did you try clearing his browser cache? Did you try using a different browser? Can you please provide a link to your page?

Yes, we're both using Google Chrome and we've both tested with IE with the same results. The page is part of a private work order system I built for them, so I don't really want to put the link to the page in this thread.

Steve, I also have the uploader however I don't use it for reasons too involved to discuss, but is your client behind a firewall or do they us a proxy server that is caching, if so, you might want to have someone else from a different location try accessing and see what the results are.

Thanks Peter. I have thought about that and am looking into that as well. There's also a possible issue with Windows 8 server configuration which might be at fault too, but I haven't heard much about that yet. The web host says they're looking into something.

I just wanted to pose this question here since it seemed the obvious place to start.
