Hi - I am using Smart Mailer for the first time and can get it to work fine linking to a form and with text emails, I have attached pdf files and that also works fine. My problem is when I link to a template file and get the following message: Error sending e-mail - Could not open the URL to the template - Please correct and try again. I can see no issues with folder or file access and removed all security but nothing changes.

Just in case to eliminate that you are doing something wrong,
please take a look at the product manual. There the usage of the product is explained in very user friendly step by step guide:

Hi - Yes have done but there seems nothing else to do other than attach the file but that is causing problems so is there something else I should look at. Is there any server side actions to take. It is just the URL attachment that is causing the trouble.

First check if the directory that contains the template has proper permissions set so it provides access to the template. The easiest way is to call the template page in a browser. If that is not the issue contact your Hosting provider and ask them if the fopen function is allowed.

The file does open in a browser OK.

Howver, I am with Heart Internet and there is a question about the open function that is enabled, their support team question is "Can you confirm how it tries to open the URL? As my colleague mentioned we don't allow loopback connections on our servers so if the script is trying to get out then back in via the URL, then it won't work. Can you confirm?"

Hi - I am stuck and unable to use this extension, my question is now regarding the funcionality of the extension as my previous reply, I use Heart Internet and they do not allow loopback connections to their servers so if your script is trying to return to the inserted file it will not work.

I am still unable to use this product and my questions seem to have been forgotten. Can someone help please?
