Trying to add a chart in App Connect Chart. I'm using DW 20.1 now. I have updated to the latest versions of App Connect and Server Connect.

Server connect doesn't seem to work. I added a new connection and wasn't lead through the steps I would expect. And opening the file it created... it was clearly not complete.

App Connect also doesn't lead me where it used to.

Do they even work with DW 20.1? Or am I missing another required app?

I'm trying to do some new charts.

Can you explain a little more detailed what is not working exactly and how to reproduce this?

It'd be easier if there were a way to show you a screen shot of Dreamweaver as I'm trying to use it. But I can't figure out how to put an image in this thing.

However, after setting up a connection in server connect, I try in App Connect to set up a recordset, but "Data" doesn't lead to that option. I can't set up a data source.

The workflow in the App Connect Charts video says "You already know how to set up a database query..." when it talks of getting a data source.

I USED to. But the process that previously worked with Server Connect and App Connect doesn't with the newest versions.

Do I now need Database Connect? Is it now required to get a data source for App Connect Charts?

Sorry but it's unclear to me what do you mean exactly. Nothing has changed in App Connect and Server Connect.

Perhaps you can point me to a document or chat topic that explains how to set up a dataset query with server connect, app connect, and chart. When I go through any combination of dropdowns, when "Data" is an option, it does not lead to any query option.

In App Connect, if I select chart (or the server connect) and click the "+" button to add a component, when I get to "Data," it offers

Repeat Children
Repeat
Conditional Region
Date and Time
Variable
Array

Nothing about setting up a dataset query, is it used to.

And OBTW, when I click the "?" for help, it freezes the extension. Totally. I have to close Dreamweaver and open it again.

First you say the charts used to work, not anymore. Then you say - how to use data with the charts?

So have you ever worked with charts before or not? If yes - what data have you used with them? Where is your data coming from?

I finally figured it out by opening some previously created pages and seeing the flow of where things were. One issue was the panel of the Server Connect dropdown where queries are created was partially hidden.

I love the charts the program creates, but think App Connect Charts could use many improvements. Primarily there's no manual. I've had to teach myself basically everything, and it's not very intuitive.

But I'll definitely keep using it.
