Let say I have a paged query and its detail region is set in a bootstrap modal.

How to preserve the state of, for example when user on page 2 and the modal show is active with selected record details?

Could you please explain what exactly are you trying to achieve? How are you changing to page 2, when the modal is open?

I'm thinking if it is possible to share URL (with query string) that preserves the active page state for example:

1) page 2 of pagination
2) the detail modal of selected query is open

I'm clear about 1) but not sure if it is possible with bootstrap modal and how to achieve it.

If you are using the query string to filter the detail region, it should be possible.
