The Truncate formatter is exactly what I needed, but unfortunately it isn't accessible via the formatting menus: nothing happens if this menu item is selected. It's the only case where this happens as far as I know. It seems to be a bug.

The feature does however work if manually entered, eg:
{{description.trunc(250, true, '')}}
Params: Max Length | User Word Boundary | Append (default: ellipsis).

Perhaps there's a mix up between 'trunc' and 'truncate'. ('trucate' and 'truncase' also crop up in the code.)
