No way to format a Time field

I have a time field in my database that stores data as '09:00:00.000000' like time fields normally do. However there is no way to format the display. If I add .formatDate("hh:mm a"
it does not display anything at all. I assume it's because it is looking for a date field. IS there no way to format a time field? Replies

The FormatDate filters expect a date. I will check with the developers if time format filters could be added in the future updates.
