Running into a problem that won't go away.

When testing or saving a new database connection, the spinning clock that appears with "Query the Database..." never connects.

Below are the DMXzone extensions active on my computer. Could the issue be a conflict between them?

Suggestions anyone?

DMXzone App Connect, version 1.9.21
Database Connector 2, version 2.3.1
DMXzone Database Connector PHP, version 1.9.4

Hello David,
You should not have both database connectors installed.
Please uninstall:

DMXzone Database Connector PHP, version 1.9.4
HTML5 Data Bindings, version 1.9.6

And make sure to reinstall:

DMXzone Server Connect
DMXzone App Connect
Database Connector 2

Uninstalled all, then reinstalled:

DMXzone Server Connect
DMXzone App Connect
Database Connector 2

Deleted all the site files, and relaunched DW

This is the response when attempting to connect to the db:

“dmxShell.bundle” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.
macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.
DMXzone Extension Manager downloaded this file on an unknown date.

Thanks, www.dmxzone.com/support/33136/topic/64837/ solved the initial issue.

Following the steps outlined in www.dmxzone.com/go/32190/dmxzone-server-connect-manual/32302/connect-to-a-database-and-display-data result in the following error: "Invalid target configuration! Check your Web Server URL and the connectivity to it."

I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with the Web Server URL.

localhost:8888/phpMyAdmin/?lang=en = url for phpmyadmin running locally.
localhost:8888/2021-GP-MAMP/ = url for local site files

Multiple tests have been run on two different Macs, using DW 2020 and DW 2021, including deleting all the site files from the site folder and the testing folder.

So in your site setup is MAMP server marked as a testing server?
Also what do you enter in the database connection details?

Are you sure your database is running on this same server you defined in the site setup? Are you sure it's on the ports you enter, as usually you just leave the port empty so it can use the default one.
Is PDO extension for mysql installed and enabled on your PHP server?

Something is not set up correctly but i can't see what from your screenshot.
I just tested the same config as yours, using a local mamp server and all works perfectly fine.

Hello, i tried to intentionally enter wrong site url/folder and it shows the error like in your example, so something should be wrongly configured in your site setup.
Can you please try recreating this error (while setting up the database connection) and then zip and email me the following file to support [at] dmxzone [dot] com?

On Windows

C:\Users\ <username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 2021\ <language> \Configuration\Shared\DMXzone\dmxServerConnect\dmx_db_connection_gen_log

On Mac

MAC: MacHD : Users : <username> : Library : Application Support : Adobe : Dreamweaver 2021 : <language> : Configuration : Shared : DMXzone : dmxServerConnect: dmx_db_connection_gen_log.txt

It contains a log of why the connection set up failed.
