I am having difficulty trying to connect to a database. I am using Dreamweaver CC 2018 and have the following extensions installed: Database Connector PHP (1.9.4) , App Connect (1.6.3) , HTML 5 Data Bindings (1.9.6) and Server Connect (1.7.0)

Server has PHP 5.6.39 and MySQL 5.5.62

Following the Server Connect tutorial I have created a new file, this then automatically added two folders locally and also uploaded them to the remote server (dmxConnect and dmxConnectLib).

I then right click on Steps then Database Actions / Add database connection / Connection options. I enter all the information to connect to my database, click ok and it then uploads more files. The connection is not made and the error message reads “the requested URL /httpdocs/dmxConnections/dmxDatabase.php was not found on this server”.

I can confirm that the two folders dmxConnect and dmxConnectLib have been uploaded and the path to the file dmxDatabase.php is correct.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Most probably either the remote folder, or web url entered in the site configuration in DW site definition are wrong. That's why it says it cannot find the files.

Thank you very much, as you said it was the web URL that needed updating it was set to the IP address by default. Changed it to use the domain name and the connection now works.
