I'm trying to connect to a SQL server. I've tried using the custom connection string and the "default" screen/form.

Every time, I get the following error message. The database is on a separate server from my live and test sites. I'm not sure what page cannot be found.

Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 404.

Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr),

and search for topics titled Web Site Setup, Common Administrative Tasks, and About Custom Error Messages.

These error are usually caused by errors in DW site testing/remote server definition - either the site url is wrong, or the root folder, or both. So please double check your site definition.

Thanks. I removed our testing site from the site definition in DW (though I was able to connect to it and put pages from within DW).

I was able to connect using the custom string method.
