Extension closing/crashing

I am using macbook running os mavericks on dreamweaver CS6. When I attempt to add photos from a folder outside of the site definition, the extension closes. It doesn't crash dreamweaver, but closes without changing any code on the page. It does however resize the images and put them where I specified. Not sure if its the resizer that is crashing it or what? Any troubleshooting ideas?I've reinstalled the extension, still the same problem. Seems to be the image resizer that crashes it?

Having that EXACT problem - running Yosemite. Add photo's, it does everything, closes and writes no code.
