I often remotely do design and coding work to a PC running DW 21 remotely. I can do everything fine, but your Extension Manager will NOT run over remote desktop. It's the only problematic software over remote. So can't update any extensions remotely.

The extension manager runs fine when actually at the PC.

Any thoughts?

Hello, we’ve not tested the extension manager on Remote Desktop but what you are experiencing might be caused by your video card drivers. Maybe try appending

 --disable-gpu --disable-software-rasterizer

to the desktop shortcut > Target for the Extension Manager as shown here:
