Have downloaded the new extension manager after being advised that the old EM wont operate for CC2017 - installed but it wont open. I get a dialogue saying " The application "DMXzone Extension Manager" cant be opened.
Any ideas please

Please try downloading the DMG file again and reinstall.

When did you get this error? Was the DMXzone Extension Manager installed properly on your Applications?
So when you opened the downloaded DMG file it opened all ok and you were able to drag the DMXzone Extension Manager in your Applications?

What happen if you start it from the Applications - do you get the error then?

If you go after the error the the security settings do you see a message of DMXzone Extension manager being blocked?

The extension manage installed ok. The error appears when I go to open it from my applications folder - the only message I see is as stated above

" The application "DMXzone Extension Manager" cant be opened.

Can you go to your Application folder with Finder, click right on the DMXzone Extension manager and choose "Show Package Contents"

Then expand the Contents folder and then also the MacOS and the others, send me a screenshot.

Please try the following:

1. Open Terminal
2. type: cd /Applications/DMXzone\ Extension\ Manager.app/Contents/MacOS/
3. then enter: ls -l
4. then: chmod +x DMXzone\ Extension\ Manager
5. and again enter: ls -l


Try starting the DMXzone Extension Manager now. If still does not work send me the output of the above commands.

Before I got your emails with the reply above and out of necessity I used time machine to go back and get the app reinstated to just before I upgraded to DW CC2017 - once that was completed it opened and allowed me to install the extensions in 2017. I know this does not solve the problem I had but it has given me a cure.

The version was 1.0.15 which I know is not the latest.

I have now re downloaded the latest (1.1.4) and have installed and it is working fine with no issues
