I've just finished rebuilding my PC, and have all my apps installed and was getting my extensions for Dreamweaver installed. I have not even installed the Adobe Extension Manager, and have been solely using the DMXzone Extension Manager, which works great - much easier to work with! One problem....
I have several extensions from DWZone (dwzone-it.com) which I rely on too, but I can't get them installed using the DMXzone extension manager.
Instead of installing the extensions, it says "Extension Manager could not find product identification".
Is there any way I can solve this problem myself and get these extensions installed, or does something need to be done to the extensions by the developer?

Hi Steve,
Yes we have some incompatibility problems with 3rd party extensions that use own installers as well.
We will improve this in the next update of the DMXzone Extension Manager, so you can also install them as well.
Greetings,
George

Sounds good, but my reinstallation of everything was completed weeks ago, back when I wrote the original message. I had to install the Adobe extension manager to get the job done, but that is no big deal.
The biggest issue with Adobe's shift to the add-ons and moving away from the extension manager is that Adobe add-ons has no awareness of what extensions I've already purchased, which is pretty lame. It seems like Adobe should provide a way for Dreamweaver users to plug in their license codes or something into their profile, so the add-ons can properly show extensions you own and can re-install them using their new add-ons panel.

Hi Steve,
Could you please try the beta of the upcoming update that we are preparing for the DMXzone Extension Manager, to see if 3rd party extensions install well now?
Download it from:
Mac version:
www.dmxzone.com/beta/DMXzone-Extension-Manager-Mac.dmg
Windows version:
www.dmxzone.com/beta/DMXzone-Extension-Manager-Win.exe
So let me know how it goes.
