Hi is there anyway of displaying an error message on the page instead of the app connect browser popup window alert after a failed log in.

Its ok I can use the validate data step before the security provider to achieve what I want.

With app connect you can use dynamic attribute > show > and check the error response. If the login fails due to wrong login credentials, the error response is: Unauthorized. So you can do this to show your custom error message on the page:
