Javascript error: "While executing selectionChanged in dmxDataBindings.htm"

has this problem

I get this error all the time in Dreamweaver on two different computers, when opening a page with the data bindings panel active. If another panel is active when a page is opened (such as the regular bindings panel or server behaviors panel), no problem. However, when I switch to the dmx Data Bindings panel, I get the error.
What is causing this???

Hello,
Usually the javascript and panel errors are caused by corrupted DW cache. Please clear your cache: www.dmxzone.com/go/16740/clearing-dreamweaver-s-cache/

Yes, I'm very familiar with this. In fact I have a shortcut on my desktop for the folder where the WinFileCache resides. I clear the cache after every extension install or update.
The problem persists, regardless of the cache being cleared.

No, never. It also doesn't happen on every page. After a little experimentation, I've narrowed down the code and I think I figured out what makes this happen, and there's a couple of things I noticed.
For starters, the first line of code on in the body of a page where this happens every time I open it contains a server side include for a nav bar. Once I took out that line of code, the error no longer happens when I open the file.
I also had an include file in the header that holds some javascript functions. In code view, if I click on the line with that include file in the header, the error is triggered again, and it keeps going off every time you move the cursor around on the same line. If you click onto another line of code, the error doesn't trigger - just on the line of code where the server side includes are.
I created just a blank test page with nothing on it and created a simple include file - no javascript or data driven code, and was able to repeat the problem. I experimented with both the file type of include as well as using the virtual type. Didn't seem to matter. Either type of include causes the problem.
It's fairly obvious to me now that the HTML5 Data Bindings extension does not like server side includes. I tested this behavior on an ASP site and also a PHP site - same results.
Hopefully that helps you factor in a fix for the next iteration of this extension.

Hi Steve,
Yes this error occurs when you select a server side code that is locked by DW in code view. Usually server side includes or the bootstrap include link.
We will fix this in the next update of the html5 data bindings.
Greetings,
George

Please could you provide a fix for this bug as it has just started happening to me - I need to be able to use some SSI on my page without getting an error if possible.
Thanks.
Thanks.
