Hi.
The images are not "covering" the background. They have been resized down to fit 250 x 250 but are being stretched ot of the slider element size.
Please see the very simple test page at www.the-sett.co.uk/test.asp and tell me why it is not working.

Could you please explain what exactly are you trying to achieve? Currently you want to use a 250x50px image as a background of an element that is 250x250px... of course it stretches.
