Can you use Google Maps with Data Bindings as the only source of data, however Google Maps does not see that as a data source. Do I have to use the normal dreamweaver connection and set up a data source that way?

Unfortunately Google Maps is not yet updated to be HTML5 Data Bindings compatible.

Its fully rewritten code already supports htm5 data bindings data source as dynamic sources for the markers.
