Will this issue ever be fixed?
Can't you code in a browser-detect work around to keep the Lightbox from showing this error message when opening PDF's or pages with queries?
A blank white screen would be fine.

Hello,

This is not lightbox - dependent.
If you do not have a browser pdf plugin installed there is no way to show a pdf file in your browser or into lightbox.

pdf plugin works fine.

The pdf always displays eventually. It is a momentary message and it is not a new issue.

You get the same message if you open a page in a lightbox that has db queries on it

So - can you please send me the exact error message you see?

When you do not have Adobe Reader browser add-on installed your computer cannot open the pdf file - it does not matter if you open it in lightbox or in the browser window.
In this case you see a blank Lightbox opening and a browser message asking you to "open/save file"

Teo, this is not a new issue. George responded 2 years ago that it is an IE issue, but there should be a workaround.

The error is the standard page that IE produces when it cannot locate a page. It pops up but disappears before I can copy it.

Of cours I have the Adobe Reader browser add on installed. You would be hard pressed to find one that does not, especially one with Adobe CS6 suite installed.

If I remove the lightbox, I never see this message. It is NOT my browser.

Again, you will see the same issue if the page you are opening has a SQL query on it. I suspect it has to do with the delay, which is why I believe you should be able to come up with a work around for IE.

Doesn't need answer? What does that mean?

Hello,

I finally noticed what you mean - the white screen is appearing on IE when loading the pdf plugin, but this is for less than a second - 400-600ms.
By "Not a problem" we mean this is not an issue with the extension but the way IE functions.

If you tested it with a larger PDF or if you were on a slower connection, you will see it longer.

It may be that the cause is IE related, but there are other lightboxes available that do not do this with IE so it IS a problem.
