I can login here OK, but DMXupdater extension v1.5.1 does not accept my username and/or password and returns a dialog box: "Invalid DMXzone username or password!"

Please provide us with information about your OS and DW version.

I used the same on both. I could login here, but not through the extension in DW.

Are there characters that the extension can't handle? My password uses non-alphanumeric characters (such as punctuation, currency symbols, etc.)

Can you please try changing your password to something that contains letters and numbers only and try again?

there isn't any length limit.

The 1.6 version of the updater should show your already installed extensions.

The extensions are there, but the updater doesn't show them.

Is there a set of preferences that I can reset to force the updater to refresh itself?
I used Adobe Extension Manager to remove all extensions and reinstalled them.
The extensions seem to work fine, it's just that the updater doesn't seem to acknowledge them.

This all started when I got a notification from 1.5.1 telling me 1.6 was available.

It wouldn't accept my login, so I downloaded 1.6 from your site and installed it with Adobe Extension Manager to see if that did something. And it did something by showing nothing.

Go figure.

Cannot log in to DMX zone updater with the same password I use for the website itself. Is there a fix for this??

What i mean is that DMXzone Updater is an extension that is used to update your DMXzone Extensions... If you only have the updater installed what exactly are you trying to achieve?

I have the same problem with updater 1.7.1 and Dreamweaver CC on Mac OSX 10.9.1

I have also changed my password this morning to only user alpha numerics.
