I have used AMU without error but now need to get the image names and a little other data written to an access database.I use the .asp version of AMU and on the very first go it uploaded images and wrote the names to the database!! I was a little surprised how easy it was so |I tried again to be sure.
Sadly all it does now is give 301 or 500 errors - this is on a windows2003 server and without writing to the db it is fine. I can also get a second page to write to the db without error (not uploading anything) and a third page to use PureaspUpload to upload and write ton the DB.
This all seems to point to the AMU having a problem but after two hours and many reinstalls and recreate from scratch I cannot figure out what is going wrong
I tried the firebug tip but it gave no info on the error, if you want to check the page is here
www.lightning1.net/uploaderDB/uploaderdb.asp
in the same folder with the same code is the original file
www.lightning1.net/uploaderDB/upload.asp
the only difference is the original did not write to a database
please help as I have told the customer we can do this for him but seems not at the moment
regards
jeff

Hello Jeff,
Is that a browser depending behavior, on which browsers you have tested your page?

Hello Jeff,
I tested your uploaderdb.asp page in IE7, IE8 and FF 3.6.6.
In each of those I do not get eider 301 or 500 error.
Try cleaning your browsers cache and a restart of the server service.

Hello Jeff,
You must check if the pages are getting "no cache" header - that header prevents caching of pages. Also check out all redirections you have set.
