We are new to this and want to understand better what we can accomplish with your Feed Ticker Bundle before we purchase it. We use Dreamweaver 8, will your extension bundle work with that setup? Can we mix feeds like video, text or images? Can there be comments with them on our site? Can we make various categories for these feeds? Can we archive the feeds we subscribe to in a MySQL DB? Can we display these feeds from our DB even if the feed has expired or gone away? Basically we are trying to aggregate news through feeds about a particluar industry. Is this the software to do it with?
Thank you for your time and indulgence to our ignorance,
Bill

Hi Bill,
As long as you have a rss feed link to place in Feed Ticker. But you must be aware that Feed Ticker supports fully(e.q. images and text) only ATOM and RSS feeds.

Hello Bill West,
Thank you for your interest in this extension.
Feed Ticker is build to fetch items from active feeds as RSS, Atom, Google feed, Yahoo, etc. It can fetch feeds from other providers as well, but there may be a limitation in displaying images.
In general FT can display the results in 3 ways - as text link, as image link, and as image + text.
It does not allow to set comments to each fetched item, but you can set title to be displayed in any element you like (that is an additional option, which needs little hand coding to be done).
You can have as many FT you like on one page and have them fetch results from as many feed providers as you like. There is, of course, a limitation on performance, depending on user's machine, internet connection, items to be shown by any FT, etc.
Also you can have one FT to display many feeds by the way our demo is set. The feed url is dynamically provided by a database.
If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.
Regards,
M.Zografski

Hi Denis,
Just to be sure. Do you want to create your own RSS feed that publishes images and text? Or are you asking how to set up set up the Feed Ticker extension to use images and text?
Kind regards, Patrick
