DW CS5, Windows 7, Chrome & Firefox.Have just downloaded current version of this extension.
I've setup my form using the autocomplete with google search.
All works well until I noticed the address returned when user type address is failing to populate the county into the county field on my form, instead its populating the Country???
Any ideas please?
Paul

Hello Jon,
Can you please check the online demo here: www.dmxzone.com/demo/AjaxAutocompleteDemos/aacformdemo/aacform.html
It does not seem to miss the last 2 characters.

Hi Theo
It does not work properly on the demo but I think its the google lookup that is the issue. On the demo enter '50 ulverley green road' which will resolve to b92 8 and will not let you add the BQ to either the lookup or the result field - which means you are not to complying to the Royal Mails postcode standards and customers/users will find this unacceptable.
All UK postcodes are X(X)9(9)space9XX - where X is a letter and 9 is a number and a digit inside brackets is optional eg B1 1AA and BT29 1AA are both correctly formatted postcodes.
regards

If you enter the postcode in the demo it does not populate the street or county fields = again I think this is to do with the google look up

Ok so version 108 now installed and running.
Unfortunately however, the county field is failing to auto-complete, based on a UK post code match.
Instead, the County or State/Province as it is labelled in the extension, is populated with the Country.
The result after entering any UK postcode or road name is;
County = England
Country = United Kingdom
Just wondering why this issue was not picked up in testing?
Anyone got any solutions please?

Hello All,
United Kingdom has more than two levels of Administration Regions. The extension ins made in order to get the Name of the Country ( United Kingdom) and the province (England). Same is in United States - Country ( US ) and Province (Alabalma).
It is a bit of private case and we will see how to overcome this problem but for now it is this way.

In the UK we don't use the country in our addressing we use county and postcode.
So an address would be as follows:
Street - 50 Ulverley Green Road
City - Solihull
County - West Midlands
Postcode - B92 8BQ
United Kingdom is only used by people sending mail to the UK.
The key thing is the postcode, it must complete the second part B92 without the 8BQ covers approx 15 square miles in rural areas that might be more than 100 square miles our mailing and addressing system revolves around this.
If I was sending post to Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland I would still only enter county and postcode.
So you can change your setup to county in the county field where it belongs and just treat The United Kingdom as a single entity and forget the four countries - they don't even appear on our passports.
If you want any further clarification please contact me but in its present format the auto complete of forms is unusable in the UK.
Kind regards
Jon

Hello John,
Since the geocoding is performed from Google the Post Code not returned is a policy - google don't want to spend some 2500 pounds on the UK Post Code database and they provide only the first part of an post code. We can't do much in this context.
About the County. We will see to consider should we add this to the province or to add a new field "County".

Ok, so following this thread up 7 months on.
Current version is v1.0.9
You did mention looking at this last year.
There doesnt appear to be any resolution regarding the 'UK county' issue featured in this thread.

Followed the tutorial to implement this in DW CC 2017, but on running on testing server, is not returning matches, in fact no response at all.
Is latest version (as of July 2017) compatible with DW CC 2017 (running on macbook)
