How to Build a Mirror Frame
Measure your mirror. You're going to glue the frame to the edges of the mirror, so make the outside edge of the frame match the outside dimensions of the mirror.
Choose your wood.
Plan corners.
Sand.
Stain both sides of the wood.
Measure twice, cut once.
Attach the frame to the mirror.

To make a simple mirror frame, you'll need a few basic materials and tools. Here's a straightforward method:
Gather Materials: You'll need wood (such as pine or MDF), a saw, sandpaper, wood glue, clamps, paint or stain, and a mirror.
Measure and Cut: Measure the dimensions of your mirror. Cut the wood into four pieces: two for the sides and two for the top and bottom of the frame, making sure they match the mirror’s dimensions.
Assemble the Frame: Arrange the wood pieces around the mirror to form a rectangle. Use wood glue to join the corners, and secure them with clamps while the glue dries. You can also use small nails or screws for added strength.
Sand and Finish: Once the glue is dry, sand the frame to smooth out any rough edges. Then, paint or stain the frame to your desired finish.
Attach the Mirror: After the frame is finished, secure the mirror to the back of the frame using mirror clips or adhesive.
For a unique touch, consider looking at decorative mirror frames like the ones available on Studio Trataka. They offer a variety of styles that might inspire your own DIY project.
