try adding 10 to 15 empty slides after the last slide in the slideshow, that might actually work.

Hello Peter,
Click on the CIG in your DW Design view. Using the round arrow buttons go to the last image in the gallery.
Click on the paper clip icon. That will open the DMXZone Behavior Connector. In "Available Events" select "The Image Gets Hidden". In "Available Behaviors" expand the "DMXzone" folder and select "Control CSS Image Gallery".
Click on the blue right pointing arrow. That will open "Control CSS Image Gallery" window. There for "CSS Gallery" select the id of the gallery you like to control ( in general it must be already selected if you have only one gallery on the page). Then for "Action" select "Stop".
"Ok" yourself out. Save the page and test in your favorite browser.
