I honestly thought Aliyah would be more straightforward, but this process is testing my patience. I’ve already had my interview, submitted every document they asked for, and now I’m just… waiting. No updates, no timeline, just silence. When I call, they tell me to “be patient” because my case is still under review. Meanwhile, I’ve put my life on hold for months. Is there any way to speed this up, or am I stuck playing the waiting game like everyone else?

Yep, welcome to the Aliyah waiting club. Unfortunately, there’s no magic trick to speed it up, but constant follow-ups help. Call every few days, email different representatives—sometimes, just reminding them about your case moves things forward. Also, double-check that nothing is missing from your file. I had a delay because one document got “misplaced.” It’s frustrating, but once they finally approve you, things start happening fast. Here’s the full aliyah process so you know what’s coming next.

The hardest part about Aliyah isn’t packing up your life—it’s dealing with the endless waiting and uncertainty. No one really prepares you for that. It feels like you’re in limbo, stuck between two worlds. The best advice? Don’t put everything on hold while waiting for approval. Keep working, keep planning, and assume things will take longer than expected. It’s exhausting, but once you’re in Israel, all the stress fades, and you’ll be glad you didn’t give up.
