Hey, I've been trying to figure out what the best training accessories are for my dog, but I'm a bit lost. My dog is pretty energetic, and we're working on some basic commands, but I'm not sure what will help him learn better. I tried a couple of things like treats and a leash, but I don’t think they’re enough. There are so many options out there like harnesses, training collars, or clickers. I even bought a toy that’s supposed to help with training, but it didn’t work. Anyone got any tips or personal experiences that could help me narrow it down?

I totally understand what you're going through! I had the same problem when I started training my dog. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of accessories, but one thing that helped me was researching products that are specifically designed for positive reinforcement training. I tried a training collar once, but it didn’t really make a difference for my dog. I ended up focusing on a good-quality leash and some clickers, and I also found that a comfy harness was much better for long training sessions. If you're looking for more ideas, I found this website really helpful: https://paw-champ.com/ . It has some great tips on choosing the right accessories for different types of training.

I’ve never really used many accessories myself. I mainly just go for simple treats and some fun toys to keep my dog engaged. I guess the most important thing is to keep it positive, as long as your dog enjoys the training, they’re more likely to stick with it. I find a lot of dogs respond better when it doesn’t feel like they’re just working all the time.
