Is anyone else finding it nearly impossible to hire Laravel developers these days? I’m working on a mobile app, and I thought Laravel would be a great choice for the backend, but every time I post a job, I’m flooded with applicants who barely meet the mark. I thought the hype around Laravel would mean plenty of talent, but I feel like I’m running into a wall. Is it just me? Replies

Not just you! I hit the same wall last month. I reached out to one of the IT Staffing Companies in the USA after a couple of failed hires, and they helped me connect with some solid Laravel developers. It turns out, the real talent is overseas. I found a couple of devs in Brazil who’ve been amazing, and they really understand the framework. You might want to broaden your search internationally!

Honestly, I think the Laravel talent pool is feeling the strain. My team started using Laravel two years ago, and we had an easier time finding developers back then. But now? It’s a struggle. We ended up bringing on a couple of remote devs from Vietnam, and it’s been a breath of fresh air. They’re sharp and dedicated. If you can adapt to remote work, there’s still a world of talent out there; you just have to look beyond your usual channels.
