Starting a lencería (lingerie) business has been exciting, but I’m looking for advice as I plan to ship products from China to Europe, particularly Germany. I’ve already identified a few manufacturers in China and am focusing on finding the right suppliers for high-quality lingerie, including plus-size options. Does anyone have experience with working with Chinese manufacturers for lingerie? What are the key factors to look for when ensuring quality and reliability? I’m also concerned about shipping and customs – how can I minimize shipping delays or unexpected customs fees when importing to Germany?

Lastly, how do you handle inventory management for lingerie, especially with different sizes and styles? I’d love to hear any tips or insights from others who’ve navigated the logistics of starting an international lingerie brand, particularly in Europe?

I’ve had some experience importing lingerie from China to Germany, and working with Chinese manufacturers like Zaoyi Garment can be great for lenceria business if you focus on communication and quality control. Make sure to request samples before bulk orders to ensure product quality. As for shipping, using a reliable freight forwarder can help minimize delays. Be prepared for customs clearance, and always check import duties to avoid unexpected costs.

I’m not an expert, and this might just be a stereotype, but Chinese manufacturing doesn’t seem very trustworthy in terms of quality. At the same time, I’m sure it’s cheaper to produce, which is advantageous for many brands and online stores that don’t make clothes or lingerie themselves but prefer to source it. Still, I wouldn’t want to pay for a low-quality item.

Nowadays, many stores and brands source from China, and indeed, the quality is often not the best—although there are always exceptions. But I get what you mean, and especially when I’m choosing something as a gift, like luxury lingerie for woman, I try to find brands like the ones here that work with designer teams to create truly unique collections. It feels like these items have more value, and at the same time, I enjoy supporting local and niche brands.
