"download file" from cd-rom using flash

Hello all,

what a wonderful resource here.

I am looking for a script, tutorial, whatever that will prompt a "save file as" dialog box that can be used for distributable slideshow/image gallery cd-rom. Anyone help or point me in the right direction? any information will be much appreciated.
