Today, Adobe announce the Adobe HTML5 pack for Illustrator CS5, which provides initial support for HTML5 and CSS3 and extends the scalable vector graphics (SVG) capability in Illustrator, making it easier to design, deliver and optimize compelling content for mobile devices and the web.
Finally the HTML5 power is not only available for the latest Dreamweaver CS5 but also for the older just as good Dreamweaver CS3 and CS4 with the Adobe HTML5 Pack Extension! On Thursday executives from Nokia, the world's largest maker of cell phones, and Opera Software, the maker of a leading mobile browser, said they'd support the new Flash 10.1 software that is coming out. Opera's co-founder Jon von Tetzchner was quoted as saying "It is the only proprietary part of the Web we support."
Adobe has been coming under increasing fire for the regular security flaws found in products such as Adobe Reader and Flash. Adobe Reader is becoming the attack vector of choice, especially on Windows Vista and Windows 7, and security experts are telling Web users that any modern browser is secure enough—as long as they don't install Flash.
Adobe released a native PDF reading app for Android phones. The software, which went up in the Android Marketplace Friday, lets users quickly open up PDFs they download from a browser, or that they've received in e-mail attachments. It packs multitouch gestures for zooming, landscape orientation, and a tool that will resize the text on wide documents to fit your phone's narrow screen.
