Applying filters using Javscript in DHTML
There are two ways to apply a filter using a Javascript in DHTML. One way is to use a text string containing the filter values. The syntax aproach for this method is: object.style.filter = "filter string"; where object is the name of the object on the page, and filter string is the filter name and parameters.
The other approach treats the filter as part of the document object model, allowing the parameters to be treated as properties of the filter object. The reference would look like: object.filters.[index] or object.filters["filter_name"]. Where object is the name of the object containing the filters, index is the index number of the filter, and filter_name is the name of filter. To reference a particular parameter value, use the reference: filter.parameter.
